HEPATOBILIARY STUDY (HIDA SCAN)
Patient should be fasting 6-8 hours. No preparation for children below the age of 6 Months..Prior appointment preferred. For children below age of 6 months , start syrup phenobarbitone 5-6 days before the test to look for extra hepatic biliary obstruction. Dose to be decided by your doctor. Rule out pregnancy.. If pregnant, confirm necessity of test and use precautions.
