IODINE THERAPY FOR THYROTOXICOSIS ( 10 - 15 mCi)
4 - 6 hrs Fasting required., stop anti thyroid drugs ( neomecazole) 4-6 days prior to the therapy . No iodinated radiographic contrast materials for atleast 4wks prior to the scan.Prior appointment preferred. Rule out pregnancy.. If pregnant, confirm necessity of test and use precautions.
