WHOLE BODY IODINE SCAN
4 - 6 hrs Fasting required., stop eltroxine 4-6 weeks prior to the therapy . No iodinated radiographic contrast materials for atleast 4wks prior to the scan.Prior appointment preferred. TSH level should be > 30. Rule out pregnancy.. If pregnant, confirm necessity of test and use precautions.
